We are excited to announce that Catherine Cambridge has joined Docsum as Strategic Advisor. Catherine brings over a decade of in-house legal leadership experience, having served as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer at multiple technology companies.
Catherine's career spans legal leadership, legal operations, procurement, and compliance. She has led cross-functional implementations, managed legal teams, and overseen technology rollouts at scale. Early in her career, she earned a project management certification to better execute large-scale process improvements and CLM implementations.
"What drew me to Docsum was the AI-first architecture," said Catherine. "This isn't AI bolted on after the fact. Docsum has built their product with AI in mind from the beginning, and the data extraction accuracy reflects that. This is exactly how we should be using AI in legal."
As Strategic Advisor, Catherine will focus on helping us build trust with legal teams evaluating AI solutions. Her firsthand experience implementing contract lifecycle management systems and leading legal operations gives her a unique perspective on the challenges in-house teams face.
"Catie has done the work," said Shaunak Turaga, CEO and Co-Founder of Docsum. "She's implemented CLMs, built processes from scratch, and led legal functions at growing companies. That experience is invaluable as we continue to build for in-house legal teams."
Catherine's vision for contract intelligence extends beyond document review. "Contracts will become a living business system," she said. "Not just documents, but an organization's genetic code that informs strategy across the entire business."
We're thrilled to have Catherine on the team and can't wait to share what's ahead.
