Know how your contracts connect.

With this release, Docsum introduces two powerful features: Document Relationships and Entities. See how agreements relate, track which ones are still in force, and understand who you are doing business with, all in one place.

Need to know if an Order Form is still active? Want to see if there is a Termination for a specific agreement? Instead of relying on naming conventions or tribal knowledge, you can now create explicit, bidirectional links between contracts in Docsum.

Use the “Relate” action in the toolbar to link any documents—MSAs, Order Forms, Amendments, Renewals, and more. Then, navigate to the “Related Documents” tab on a contract sheet to view connected documents at a glance.

Whether you are tracking a long negotiation thread or surfacing the latest version of an agreement, you can now see the full picture in one place. No more asking “Is this the latest version?” or “Did we ever terminate this agreement?” The relationships are right there in Docsum.

Directional relationship types and automatic linking are coming soon.

🏢 Entities: Structure Your Contract Counterparties

Understand your counterparties, clearly.

Docsum has always extracted counterparty details from contracts based on your internal entities but we didn't have a dedicated place for all entity information. With the new Entities feature, we now offer a full system of record for entities across all your contracts both internal and external.

Search, filter, and report based on structured data like:

• Legal name

• Signer(s)

• Addresses

• Entity type (Vendor, Customer, Partner, Internal, etc.)

One of the most powerful views? The “Contracts” tab on an entity profile, where you can see all agreements tied to that party, perfect for answering questions like:

“What contracts have we signed with Acme Inc.?”

Now, you can simply search for “Acme Inc.” and see the full list. This view will be automatically populated for accounts created during onboarding and through contract data extraction.

Most CLM is riddled with complex workflow management and pre-signature configurations that are relatively similar. What they have all truly lacked is the ability to improve and respond to precedent that are changing in real-time. As we re-think contract lifecycle management, we believe that it needs to be informed and molded by historical context. The only way to do this is starting with a deep index of all your agreements and next by a clear representation of how they are related and how these commercial and legal obligations are solidified between you and your counterparties.

We are doubling down on correlating this by specific Entities so you'll be able to ask more nuanced questions like:

• "What are all the amendments we've historically signed with this customer? Provide a summary of key changes."

• "What discounts and sales concessions have we previously received from this vendor so we can improve our negotiation."

• "Can we sync all related documents with related Opportunity records in Salesforce from Docsum?"
